A REVIEW THROUGH THE (DIS) LOVE STORY BETWEEN JENNIFER ANISTON AND BRAD PITT
We do a super detailed TBT of the JEN-BRAD relationship and why Jennifer Aniston felt lucky to have married Brad Pitt.
How Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt Met
The former lovebirds had already crossed their paths in 1994, at the beginning of Friends, but it was not until 98 that they broke up with their partners respectively (Tate Donovan and Gwyneth Paltrow). And yes, as the rumors suggest, it was their representatives who prepared an appointment for them. Aniston told Diane Sawyer that she knew from the first date that this man was made for her. Five months later, they were already engaged. In July 2000, America's most beloved couple married in Malibu in an intimate and private ceremony.
Quick Fact: People Magazine leaked that Brad and Jen had "matching" blonde highlights pre-wedding so please keep this in mind as you read the rest of the article.
When they reached their peak
Although he was part of Hollywood royalty, Brad and Jen decided to attend an event sponsored by Coors Light and the actor must have thought something like: "I refuse to trim my beard like that. I'm going to go with a ridiculous straw hat, shirt yellow that I bought at a thrift store on the way to the event and a patch of an American flag with super worn jeans. " Still, Jen went with him. That's love.
Why did we love them so much
Jen once called Brad "The funniest thing that's ever happened to me" and, looking at old photos of the two of them, it's something they've proven.
But it ended...
However, anyone who went to a kiosk in 2005 knows: the fun did not last much longer.
The rupture
When it comes to breakups that caused a sensation (we even had T-shirts) there are two versions:
1. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt fell in love around Mr. and Mrs. Smith and ended up getting married
2. The separation between Brad and Jennifer had nothing to do with the third woman in contention
But according to Jen herself, her divorce had a lot to do with the "professional" meeting between Angelina and her ex-husband. Although the press insisted for many years that Pitt and Aniston were a couple immune to the pressures of Hollywood, both parties have admitted that nothing was as it was seen in the photos.
More details
In an interview in 2011, Brad alluded to his past: "I realized I wanted to find an interesting movie because my real life was not being interesting enough. I think my marriage to Jennifer had a lot to do with it. We tried to pretend. what did not exist ". But in Jennifer's first interview with Vanity Fair after her divorce, she said: "They put us on a pedestal but we were a normal couple. We thought differently and you can't force a relationship, even when people idealize it." Still Jen is grateful for her first marriage. "I still feel lucky to have lived it," she said. "I wouldn't know what I know now if I hadn't married Brad. I love him. I really love him. I will love him for the rest of my life. He is a fantastic man. I have no regrets. We spent seven very intense years together and learned a lot of things about each other. It was a beautiful and complicated relationship. What I found sad was the way it was reduced to a Hollywood cliché. I feel very sorry for people who are going through this now. "
And she arrived ...
As far as she's concerned, Jen prefers to think that Jolie had nothing to do with their breakup. "There are many things that I do not understand and many that I do not know and will probably never really know," she confessed. "At this point, I wouldn't be surprised at anything but I would always choose to believe her." That doesn't mean that all of this didn't hurt Jennifer.
At what point are they now
After finalizing their divorce, Pitt adopted Angelina's son Maddox and daughter Zahara in 2006. The couple welcomed their first biological child, Shiloh, in 2006. They then adopted Pax in 2007. The family became It got bigger in 2008 when they had twins Knox and Vivienne. Although they were one of the most high-profile couples for 10 years, they didn't get married until 2014. Two years later, in September 2016, the world was stunned when they announced their divorce. Almost two years later, Angelina and Brad are still in the process of separation and with a very tough custody battle that seems to never end.
And Jennifer?
The actress began dating her second husband, Justin Threoux, in 2010. Theroux proposed in 2012 and they married three years later. After two and a half years of what we believed (or hoped) would be a happy marriage, the two of them also parted ways.
