Meghan and Harry's friends speak out: "Recognize that you hate her because she is black"
Jessica Mulroney and Jameela Jamil join the long list of celebrities who have publicly defended the Sussexes for the use of a private plane
This summer is being especially warm for Meghan and Harry. The Dukes of Sussex have been harshly criticized after they spent a few days in Ibiza and, above all, after the trip to Nice where they were seen landing after passing through the Balearic island. The couple, who used a private jet from the NetJets company (which has been dubbed 'the millionaires' Uber') to land on the Côte d'Azur, has seen how British public opinion was on them and branded them as wasteful. Of course, the comparisons to Kate Middleton, and how she uses conventional lines, were swift.
Nor have friends of the Dukes of Sussex been slow to come out and defend the couple, with both singer Elton John and host Ellen DeGeneres speaking out in favor of the Dukes: "I am deeply distressed by the distortion and malicious manner in which the press has reported the private stay of the Dukes of Sussex in my house in Nice last week, "said the British interpreter on social networks.
Now it has been the actresses (and Meghan's friends) Jessica Mulroney and Jameela Jamil who have also wanted to position themselves, and they have been able to say it louder but not more clearly.
“Dear UK and English press: recognize once and for all that you hate her because she is black and him for having married a woman of color and let's get it over with, damn it. Your harassment is so embarrassing and so obvious. You have lost your mind! We are in 2019, mature at once ”, wrote Jameela first and then Jessica echoed on her Instagram. The two actresses have used their social networks to express their dissatisfaction with what they consider a racist attack against the dukes and especially towards the former actress. Jamil also pointed out how dukes are required to travel by private plane for their safety and that of their little Archie.
In addition to the two actresses, Sir Elton and the American journalist, the list in support of the protagonist of 'Suits' continues to grow: one of the last has been the singer Pink: "I am happy to see people who come out in defense of the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, "he writes. “The way people treat them is the most public form of intimidation I've seen in a long time. She's out of control. Let's all be a little nicer, huh? Let's show our kids that it's great to be nice. "
