Brad Pitt against Trump: "It's a serious threat"
Brad Pitt commented on Donald Trump's latest strategy, intent on taxing wine from France, calling the President a threat to the US
The 55-year-old, present in Venice for the film "Ad Astra" he produced, allowed himself a few rare interviews, commenting with elegance and always with a smile on his face. Despite his problems with alcohol, which drove him towards Alcoholics Anonymous, Pitt is an excellent wine producer: a product that is also highly regarded in his motherland. After all, the topic of wine is very familiar to him and, for this reason, he ironically replied to those who asked him about Trump's decision to impose taxes on French imported wines, a series of duties that could even reach 100%: " I know the subject well, but I think we will continue to drink rosé wine in the United States ".
Joking aside, the duty issue could prove to be a problem for winemakers, even local ones, but the problem of wines is certainly not the most worrying one linked to the figure of Trump. The US President would represent a real threat to much more serious issues, as the actor himself pointed out. A rather widespread opinion among Hollywood actors but also among the representatives of the American cultural world, distressed by the behavior of Donald Trump, always rather direct and incisive.
Pitt owns an estate in Miraval in France with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, where the grapes are cured and fed for their brand of wines, an activity that still sees them united and collaborative. Among the many lines produced, the Chateau Miraval stands out, a rosé born in 2013 and highly appreciated worldwide, so much so that it ranks among the best in the world.
