Meghan Markle and Harry: this is what Prince William thinks of their escape
Here's what Prince William really thinks of Meghan Markle and Harry's escape from the Royal Family
What does Prince William really think about the resounding step backwards of Meghan Markle and brother Harry from the Royal Family? If you too have asked yourself this question, dear gossipers, an indiscretion has finally arrived that could help us find an answer.
We didn't even have time to finish reading the Finding Freedom biography, which we now have a brand new book in our hands. And this also speaks - needless to say - of the Royal Family, and more precisely of the conflict between Prince William and Prince Harry.
The biography comes from the mind of the expert Robert Lacey, and is called Battle of Brothers. Through the pages of the new book, new details have been revealed regarding the causes that led William and Harry to separate, but not only! In fact, we also discover William's reaction to the sensational Megxit, the step backward announced by Meghan Markle and her husband, who have given up their role as senior members of the Royal Family.
Apparently William was furious with his brother. The Duke of Cambridge saw the Duke of Sussex's move as a betrayal. Also, he couldn't believe that Harry had been so disrespectful of the Queen.
Harry hadn't even had a meeting with the Queen to talk about their plans before announcing them to the world. The monarchy is an institution based on hierarchy and respect, something that children learn as they grow up. But this was a betrayal that William struggled to understand, and their relationship remained strained.
The book also reveals that since Meghan Markle entered Harry's life, and even more so since the former actress and her husband moved to America, the two brothers have barely spoken. Apparently William and Harry only spoke on birthdays.
Not long ago the red-haired prince himself had said that being part of the monarchy involves a certain pressure. Referring to his relationship with his brother, Harry further explained:
But look, we are brothers. We will always be brothers. Sure we are on different paths right now, but I will always be there for him, as I know he will always be there for me… We don't see each other as much as before because we are so busy but I love him deeply.
What will William have thought upon hearing these statements?
