Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left the British royal family, the two have been temporarily in Los Angeles. From their home, the couple continues their philanthropic work, which includes giving speeches. Meghan gave another powerful speech last month in response to George Floyd's tragic death. She now uses her voice to address young women worldwide, during the so-called Girl Up Leadership Summit.

On Tuesday, July 14, Meghan Markle addressed young women from all over the world at the Girl Up Leadership Summit 2020, an event dedicated to women empowerment. In her speech, the Duchess spoke about equality between men and women, racial inequality and the strength of young people. Meghan wants to use this to motivate young women worldwide to work for an equal world.
"Keep challenging yourself, keep going," Meghan said in her speech. 'Make people feel a little uncomfortable, because only then can we create conditions in which we re-evaluate our standards, policies and leadership. That way we can move forward to achieve representation and influence in decision-making and power. '
Meghan cannot emphasize that message often enough. "Belief in real equality is not enough," she says. It takes more than faith. We have to work for it every day when it is difficult, even when it makes others feel uncomfortable. We have to stand up for ourselves, and also for others who are not being heard.
