He was also Charles's chief of security at her royal wedding that same year.
The relationship between Charles and Andrew came to an end after the Prince exposed their affair on television. It was then that Parker-Bowles filed for divorce. According to royal expert Wayne Francis, Andrew felt "publicly humiliated" and legally requested to end the bond, around the same time, as the other couple involved.
By August 1996, all parties were single again and Charles and Camilla were free to continue their relationship. Tragically, Diana died just a year later in a car accident in Paris. Andrew Parker-Bowles married his own mistress, Rosemary Pitman, in 1996, but sadly died of cancer in 2010.
