Anna Wintour ignores questions about Melania Trump's style

Previously, the fashion publisher had claimed that the First Lady, who appeared on a Vogue cover in 2005, would no longer appear on her covers.

In her latest interview, Anna Wintour completely ignored Melania Trump's style questions.

During the The Economist Asks podcast with Anne McElvoy, the director of Vogue was asked what she thought of the First Lady's flaunted clothes on her recent state visit to Britain with her husband, US President Donald Trump.

Question that Wintour has completely glossed over, starting instead to talk about the former First Lady, Michelle Obama.

"I think Michelle Obama was truly incredible in every fashion decision she made," said Anna Wintour, throwing a real jab at the former American model and first woman. «He supported young American designers. In fact it has supported stylists from all over the world. She was the best ambassador this country could have, in many ways, of course, far beyond fashion. "

"For me Michelle is an example to admire," he added.

McElvoy also asked the 69-year-old if the fact that she no longer dedicated a cover in Vogue to Melania after 2005 was a "conscious decision."

"There are many women in politics who deserve to be celebrated," replied Anna.

“Whether it's Kirsten (Gillibrand) or Senator (Kamala) Harris or Senator (Elizabeth) Warren. We recently published a piece out of five of the six female candidates, all of which deserve a place in Vogue ».

During her husband Barack Obama's rule, Michelle appeared on the cover of Vogue three times.
