Donald and Melania Trump posed in the same outfit at the White House for their last official Christmas portrait.
In a matching, understated outfit, Donald and Melania Trump posed together for their last official Christmas portrait. The presidential couple, who are preparing to leave the White House to let the new president-elect, Joe Biden, settle there, unveiled the photo taken on the steps of the grand staircase adorned with garlands on Friday. "Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump," read the caption of this image taken on December 10 in which the First Lady and the President both opted for a black tuxedo and White.

In 2019, Donald and Melania Trump had not released an official photo. They did, however, in 2018 and 2017. The snapshot comes months after a controversy sparked by the release of a recording in which Melania Trump made negative remarks about these Christmas traditions. While the separation of families on the border with Mexico was at the heart of the news in the summer of 2018, she was annoyed, in private, that the media questioned her on this highly controversial subject: "They say that I am an accomplice. That I am the same as him, that I support him. I don't talk enough, I don't do enough ... While I'm breaking my ass for Christmas stuff, who cares about Christmas stuff and decorations? But I have to do it, don't I? " Despite this controversy, she did unveil last November the decorations installed in various rooms of the White House.
