A former White House official has claimed that United States First Lady Melania Trump plans to end her 15-year "transactional marriage" with US President Donald Trump following her husband's election defeat. Launching the Daily Mail, Melania counted every minute until she made it out of the White House and divorced Trump.
Former White House Communications Director for Public Relations, Omarosa Manigault Newman, said the reason Melania was reluctant to leave while Trump was in office was because Trump could find a way to 'punish' her. Apart from the Daily Mail, leading media such as The Sunday Times also raised this issue.
Despite the rumors and their 'cold' moments in public, Melania claims she has a 'great relationship' with her husband. Trump himself has always insisted that his relationship with Melania was never even one of dispute.
Back in the 2016 presidential election, Melania Trump was famous for rumors that she cried when her husband won.
A close friend of Melania said she was crying because she hoped Trump never won the presidency. Before moving to Washington, Melania was still in New York for 5 months, allegedly because her son with Trump, Barron, needed to finish his studies there. However, the allegations differ from the claims of a former aide named Stephanie Wolkoff, who said that Melania was negotiating a post-marriage agreement to give Barron an equal inheritance from Trump's fortune.
