Meghan Markle and Prince Harry published their first family Christmas card since they moved into their residence in Montecito, California, United States. The card, which is an illustration of a photograph taken by Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, was released through Mayhew, the UK animal charity of which the Duchess of Sussex is a sponsor. The card shows the couple's 19-month-old son Archie, front and center, along with the family's two dogs, Pula and Guy. "We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," the publication says.

"The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by mother Meghan," said a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "The little Christmas tree, including the home decorations and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays."

The Mayhew organization published the photograph on its Instagram account, detailing that "the Duke and Duchess also made a personal donation, helping us to continue being for the dogs, cats and people of our community this winter. On behalf of all of us, two and four legs, thank you and merry Christmas. " Last year, Meghan and Harry shared their first Christmas card with Archie. Following this, they spent the final holiday season in Canada, preparing to resign from their roles as members of British royalty.
