Oops! Melania reportedly asked for divorce from Donald Trump?
Bad rumors have reached the family of US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump. A former White House official has claimed that the First Lady plans to end her 15-year marriage after her husband's defeat in the presidential election.
Previously, Trump's competitor, Joe Biden won the US Election Saturday (7/11/2020) local time. The total number of citizens who voted, reported by the Associated Press, amounted to 50.6% of the vote or around 75,193,022. Meanwhile, Trump is only 47.7% or around 70,804,968.
The 77-year-old also won a vote at Electoral College, which determines which candidates can advance to the White House.
Quoting the Mirror, the former aide named Omarosa Manigault said that Melania was impatient to end the 'transactional' marriage. According to Omarosa, Melania has given up on her marriage.
"Melania counts every minute until Donald Trump can leave his post and he can get a divorce," said Omarosa, as quoted on Monday (9/11/2020).
"If Melania commits an insult by leaving her while Trump is in office, then she will find a way to punish Melania."
When Donald Trump was elected president in 2016, it was reported that Melania was not happy with this. She did not think that her husband won the presidential election at that time.
Melania and Donald reportedly separated rooms while they were in the White House. Omarosa said that their marriage at that time was transactional.
Melania seemed to buy time to move to the White House at that time. It took five months for Melania to move to Washington from New York on the grounds of her son Barron's school.
Meanwhile, in CNN International's coverage, Melania was also reportedly unhappy with her husband's attitude in extending the case of his defeat in the US Presidential Election. Even citing sources, Melania asked Trump to accept defeat.
Not only Melania, the media also mentioned the same advice given by Trump's in-law and main adviser, Jared Kusher. But this was denied by Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller.
"Not true," said Miler. "Jared has advised @realDonaldTrump to pursue all available legal measures to ensure its accuracy."
