Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their own podcast
The couple of former 'royals' will jump to the format of the hand of the Spotify platform following in the footsteps of the Obamas
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their own podcast on Spotify. As it was known this Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reached a multi-million dollar agreement with the aforementioned platform for several years.
The project will start with a Christmas special presented by the couple of former 'royals', which will include stories about "hope and compassion" told by different guests, as reported by Spotify.
Already in 2021, the couple will produce and present their first series of podcasts through Archewell Audio, the company that they have created for their adventure in this sector, and that will be able to be listened to for free through Spotify.
"What we love about podcasting is that it reminds us all to take a moment to really listen and connect with one another without distraction," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a joint statement.
In this same message, Harry and Meghan have assured that with all the problems of this atypical 2020, it has never been so important to listen to each other's stories and remember “how interconnected we all are” as it is now.
The couple, separated from monarchical life since last March, have been living in California since the spring after having briefly resided in Canada, and have strongly opted for content production.
In addition to their leap into the world of podcasting with Spotify, Prince Harry and Meghan have an agreement with Netflix to create "content with impact and that unleashes action" in the form of documentaries, films or series.
For this new profession that they have found on their way to economic independence from the British royal family, there are already many who point out that the Sussexes are the new Obamas. Only time will tell.
