Taylor Swift and Katy Perry reconcile after years of feud with 'You Need to Calm Down' and it couldn't be better

The bad relationship between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry has come to an end. The singers have buried the hatchet and reconciled in the way they do best: with music and, of course, the fans couldn't be happier.

Taylor Swift's new video clip would talk for hours. The singer has made her new song, You need to calm down, an ode to diversity and freedom. In the heat of pride month, she has filled her latest hit with queer references and launched a powerful message of love and inclusiveness. In fact, as it appears at the end of the video clip, she has even created a petition on Change.org to defend the rights of the LGTBIQ + community.

In addition to the powerful anti-hate message that floods every shot and verse, the video clip features a luxurious cast. The artist who has already demonstrated her privileged contact agenda on more than one occasion, appears accompanied by celebrities such as Laverne Cox, Ellen Degeneres, Billy Porter, Serena Williams, Ryan Reynolds, Rupaul among many other well-known faces, but there is one Who stands out above the rest, Katy Perry.

Katy would be another singer collaborating on the song if it weren't for all that it means that Katy is there, along with Taylor. For a little over six years, both singers had an unfriendly relationship. Everything arose for which the strongest fights between friends begin, for something insignificant. In 2012 three dancers from the cast of Taylor Swift joined the Katy Perry tour that took place that year. After this "incident" there have been several years of constant tug of war with hints in songs and clashes in musical galas. For example, in 2014 Taylor dedicated Bad Blood to Katy Perry to which she responded years later with Swish Swish. Of course, these are all fan readings, yes, quite logically considering the background.

Now, the notorious enmity between the two seems to have ended with the presence of Katy in Taylor's video clip and with some photos that both have shared on the photography social network par excellence. A week ago Katy Perry uploaded a photo of a plate of cookies with the message "Peace at last" and mentioned Taylor Swift with the message "How good it feels."

In addition, Taylor has wanted to apply the speech of her video clip, has calmed down and has decided to reconcile with Katy, who apparently has happily agreed to appear in the video. In addition to the reconciliation that unites reality and fiction for the singer in this new song, Taylor shared yesterday one of the images from her video clip, where Katy Perry appears dressed as a hamburger, as she did at the after party at the MET Gala and she potato chips, an inseparable combo and also, the most astute fans have perceived that it contains a hidden message. Taking the initials of Burguer (B) and French Fries (FF) comes out BFF or what is the same, best friends forever. A minutia that could be casual but taking into account how the details are taken care of in the video clip, it probably is not.

We hope that the singers have definitely buried the hatchet and this is the beginning (or better, the continuation) of a good friendship. Also, next August 23rd (the day that Taylor's new CD, titled Lover, comes out) we will find out if they share any more songs. Long live friendship!
