The curious story of Lady Di's haircut
Diana Spencer, known worldwide as Lady Di, wanted a look change and spoke with her stylist, and together they developed a curious strategy
From being a humble teacher, Diana Spencer became the most famous member of the British royal family, as she won the hearts of the whole world with her benevolence and spontaneity, and of course, her look a bit "shy", she always played to your favor. This look was achieved, in large part, thanks to Lady Di's iconic hairstyle, which became one of the most imitated hairstyles in England and the rest of the world.
Lady Di never got used to always being under the surveillance of the press and the paparazzi, in fact, in the documentary Diana: In her own words, Spencer admitted that she was not at all comfortable in front of the cameras. And she was one of the most photographed women in the world!

The strategy for the cut, according to her stylist of more than 12 years, Richard Dalton, was that to prevent the public from reacting to a radical change, Diana cut herself just a quarter of an inch every few weeks, until she achieved her famous "dixie ”Without anyone noticing until the hairstyle was established. Soon after, her hairstyle became a global trend and in a way, it still is today.
