Jennifer Aniston-Lisa Kudrow Reminisced about Together on Friends
Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow recalled their first meeting when they started the Friends series in 1994 to 2004. A number of things were revealed, one of which was Aniston's first assessment of Kudrow when she first met at the script reading session.
"You're such a Phoebe Buffay, white cotton, hippie T-shirt, and necklace and bracelet. And your hair is tied up, and there are tendrils of blonde hair hanging down. So beautiful!" said Aniston in a talk that was an interview with Variety.
"Thank God," Kudrow responded. "Geez! I'm trying to get into the character,"
"That's right! I thought you were still auditioning, and actually got the role," said Aniston.
Both Aniston and Kudrow admit that they often watch clips of blooper clips or mistakes during the events that are widely circulating on the internet.
"I often find clips of episodes of Friends on the internet. One time, I was with Courteney [Cox], and we were trying to find something to refer to something in an old episode of Friends," said Aniston.
"And we found ... bloopers on the internet and we sat at the computer like two maniacs watching bloopers and laughing at themselves,"
"Me too," said Kudrow. "I've been doing that, watching blooper hours,"
Aniston admits that she still remembers the situation when filming, even just watching the episode Friends that aired. He remembers when he and other actors often failed to hold back laughter while filming.
"You and I will always burst out laughing. When you're going to put out your funny script line, and have to do something, you will definitely laugh first," said Aniston.
"When you were going to put out that sentence, you would turn to the audience and say 'sorry, but this is so funny'," recalled Aniston.
"If I had known what was going to happen next, I would not have issued that humorous sentence. I do not want to spoil it," Kudrow said.
"You really can laugh, to break the sentence," said Aniston. "Because you as Lisa also think it's funny, what Phoebe said. Which one is really good .. and then I saw it, and then laughed. We were really messed up,"
Lisa Kudrow said that the moment she had with the five other Friends of the cast at the time was so memorable that she admitted to "having commitment issues" with other series a few years later.
"It's not because 'it's 10 years of hard work.' No," said Kudrow. "I know Friends is successful because we are all committed to one another. Not just commitment by role, or contract,"
"We still love each other. Our players are like that, that's what made the show successful. I think some of me died [when Friends ended]. I can't do that anymore [for another show],"
With Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Jennifer Aniston who plays Rachel Green and Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, will return on the Friends reunion series on HBO Max.
Friends co-creator, Marta Kauffman recently said she hopes to start filming Friends Reunion in August.
"I think it will be a lot of fun other than when we, if we can get out of quarantine, carry out the reunion program," said Aniston.
"Yes, that would be great. I can't wait to come back. Really," said Kudrow. "Yes, we can say we don't know anything about the event. I think we'll be surprised by a number of things later,"
"We know it's not fecal, that's what we know," said Aniston, quoted from Variety. "I wouldn't be Rachel, even though I was her. Yes, we are all a part of those characters. Not all of them, but that's how it is."
