Kanye West and Kim Kardashian look to divorce, according to US press
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who form one of the most popular and powerful couples in show business, are on the verge of divorce, according to several news published today by the press of the heart in the United States.
The most forceful information of those revealed today about Kardashian and West corresponded to Page Six, who assured that the divorce is "imminent."
"They're taking it quietly but it's over," said one of Page Six's anonymous sources.
This portal specialized in celebrity news also said that Kardashian has hired Laura Wasser, a well-known lawyer who, among other celebrities, represented Angelina Jolie when she divorced Brad Pitt.
For its part, TMZ was somewhat more cautious than Page Six and pointed out today that Kardashian and West are going to marriage therapy and that divorce is an option on the table, but maintained that they have not yet decided to divorce.
Instead, People magazine claimed today that Kardashian is already preparing to file for divorce.
"She has had enough and has told him that she wants some space to work out her future," said one of People's unidentified sources.
"He is fine. He is sad, but fine. He knows the inevitable will happen and he knows it will happen soon," she added.
Kardashian married West in 2014, has made it big on television with “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and is one of the most popular celebrities on social media (she has 198 million followers on Instagram)
On his part, West is considered one of the most important rappers in history thanks to albums like “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” (2010) or “Yeezus” (2013).
Rumors surrounding West and Kardashian's marriage raged throughout 2020, especially because of West's outlandish announcement that he wanted to run for president of the United States.
West's baffling political aspirations coupled with highly erratic and unpredictable behavior on social media have sounded alarms around the rapper's mental health.
Several media assured in recent months that Kardashian and West were already leading separate lives and that their crisis had a difficult solution.
