Melania Trump: what life for the ex-First Lady after the White House?
The former First Lady of the United States, who has just joined Florida with the Trump clan, should initially stick to her line of conduct: discretion.
The White House already seems like ancient history to Melania Trump. Hardly had she set foot on Florida soil on Wednesday, the former First Lady, for just a few minutes, was already no longer playing the game of photographers.
Sulky, Melania? No doubt quite simply relieved to have finished with the attention which her husband so craved during his four years in power. In media light, the 50-year-old former model definitely seems to prefer the sun (and the calm) of the “Sunshine State”.
His outfit said a lot. A few hours earlier, the one who was still First Lady boarded Air Force One all dressed in black, with a smile on her face. When he got off the plane, only his large glasses still obscured his eyes. Melania swapped the elegant suit for a colorful beach dress. Mrs. Trump seems, unlike her husband, to have turned the page.

During her farewell Monday, the First lady nevertheless assured that "serving as First Lady has been the greatest honor of my life". Desiring to distance herself from her husband's tempestuous policies, she called on Americans to "choose love over hate, peace over violence and others over her person". The soothing speech of a First Lady who above all shone through her discretion, and which remains a mystery for many.
What future for Melania Trump?
A course of action that she intends, at least initially, to continue to follow. According to the Washington Post, which interviewed her friends, Melania Trump "plans to step back from the spotlight for a while." Then, less subject to the White House protocol, it intends to develop its “Be Best” initiative, which focuses on the well-being of children, the fight against cyberstalking and drugs.
Another project would also interest him: the "Donald Trump presidential Library". After their mandate, all presidents have the right to their presidential library, in particular to keep the archives and display the gifts received when they were in power. And for now, the billionaire, who still incurs a second impeachment procedure, is no exception to the rule.
Melania Trump would be involved in the selection of the site, from planning to the design of the building, "which will probably be located in Florida", understands the American daily. An initiative in which Ivanka Trump, who has also just moved to Florida, is also interested.
