Nobody wants Ivanka Trump anymore, not even the Country Club at home
The latest misadventure of Ivanka, Donald Trump's favorite daughter
They called them "radioactive kryptonite". A picturesque way to explain why a vacuum is forming around them. Especially in certain environments that, until a few years ago, welcomed them with open arms. After the latest events in Washington (mainly the assault on the Partlament) Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are no longer welcome not only in New York, but also in Florida. Or rather, in the exclusive country club of the super exclusive island where they bought land to build a house.
Ivanka Trump and New York: it is a rupture
After the experience of the White House, Ivanka and Jared had two options: return to New York - their home for a lifetime - or move to Florida with their father Donald Trump. Given the numerous warnings of a glacial welcome that awaited them in the Big Apple, the couple decided to fall back on warmer climates, in every sense.
The island of billionaires
But in order not to stay too close to Donald Trump's Mar estate in Lago (or rather, to stay as far away as possible from Melania: she and Ivanka can't stand each other), Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner have decided to build a house. They bought a $ 30 million piece of land on Miami Beach's exclusive Biscayne Bay Island, Indian Creek Village. Nicknamed "The Billionaire's Bunker".
More than a fitting name. Since the community living on the island is one of the richest in the United States. It has only 34 residences and 42 inhabitants. Among them are Julio Iglesias, Adriana Lima and the latest arrivals, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. “The high level of privacy and security, the top priority for Indian Creek residents, is achieved through its own private police force, as well as its own 24/7 armed Navy patrol, which monitors the waters surrounding the island, ”writes the real estate agency that manages the exclusive sales.
The refusal of the Country Club
In short, the perfect place for the most talked-about couple and in the spotlight of America, after Donald and Melania. But, the PageSix website reveals exclusively, owning a home in Indian Creek doesn't automatically mean getting membership in its ultra exclusive country club.
To become a member, writes the site, one must be introduced by one of the residents and make a formal application. "But it is enough that a single member opposes entry, that the application is refused. And many members are against it, especially after the events at the Capitol on January 6th ». That is, after the assault on the American Parliament incited by Donald Trump in his rally. And who were called by Ivanka in a tweet of the "patriots".
"Jared and Ivanka can have lunch with their fellow 'patriots' in Mar-a-Lago," a resident told PageSix. "The members of the Indian Creek Country Club are very demanding and the word is that Jared and Ivanka don't even have to try to apply."
Ivanka Trump's response
It is said that Ivanka, having read the news, leaked that she never had any intention of joining the Island's Country Club. A bit like the fox with grapes, right?
There are 300 current members of the Club, built in 1930 and which has an 18-hole golf course, a restaurant and an entrance fee of $ 150,000. You don't have to reside on the island to be part of it. But all residents are said to be part of it. Except Jared and Ivanka. The couple nobody wants.
