Photos Show Melania Trump Voting With No Face Mask
First Lady Melania Trump cast her ballot bare-faced at a Florida community center on Tuesday, photos from the voting site show.
Late Tuesday morning, the First Lady arrived to vote at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach, Florida, less than a three-mile drive from the president’s Mar-A-Lago Club.
Members of her security detail and a local election official who escorted her into the building were wearing face masks.
Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady’s spokesperson, told The Associated Press that Trump was the only person casting a ballot at the time, and was only joined by her own staff and several poll workers, who were all tested for coronavirus beforehand.
NPR pointed out that an emergency order in effect in Palm Springs Country mandates the wearing of facial coverings in many public spaces.
Trump tested positive for coronavirus back in October along with her husband. President Donald Trump cast a ballot in-person in Palm Beach as well during Florida’s early voting period. He was photographed wearing a face mask at the time.
