Last week Donald, 74, and Melania Trump, 50, visited the Arlington, Virginia War Cemetery for Veterans Day. The president is supposed to lay a wreath there in memory of the fallen soldiers. It is immediately noticeable that the couple is walking through the cemetery in an unusual constellation. Instead of at her husband's side, Melania strides across the cemetery on the arm of a soldier.
Thick air in the White House
The photos go around the world. Because divorce rumors are already circulating. Many wonder how Melania Trump would like to continue her private life once her husband leaves the White House.
Former Trump adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman is said to have told British media: "Melania counts every minute until he is no longer president and she can get a divorce." If she had already done this during the tenure, she would have humiliated her husband so much that she was afraid of his reaction and the consequences, Manigault Newman added.
Since the election in which Joe Biden was victorious, the Trump family has been in a bad mood anyway. Melania and Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, are apparently supposed to persuade Donald to admit his election defeat. However, the latter sticks to the claim that the Democrats won the day by fraud. There is no evidence to support these allegations.
This Veterans Day appearance fueled the breakup rumors. But it is worth taking a closer look at the occasion. In a photo that is not shown that often, Melania is holding her husband's hand.
Lots of embarrassments delivered
And at the very beginning of a video it can be clearly seen that the other wives, such as those of Vice President Mike Pence, let go of their husbands hand at one point and hooked one of the soldiers. The only thing that could be criticized here is that the members of the Trump administration have still not fully understood what social distancing means.
It is thanks to herself that Melania Trump's behavior repeatedly raises doubts about marital happiness. Several scenes in which Donald Trump publicly spurned her became famous. During a state visit to Israel in 2017, for example, a video shows how she slaps his hand.
