Trump is angry that Vice President Mike Pence doesn't protest Biden's victory
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is angry that the Vice President, Mike Pence, refused to intervene in the approval of the results of the 2020 presidential election and the victory of Democratic Party politician Joe Biden by Congress.
Trump immediately sneered at Pence's stance in Congress via Twitter.
"Mike Pence does not dare to act to protect the country and the constitution. The US demands the truth," Trump tweeted, as reported by AFP on Thursday (7/1).
Pence said he would not stand in the way of Congress from certifying Biden's victory.
In contrast to Pence's position, the Senate Majority Leader in Congress, Mitch McConnell, immediately launched an argument against the ratification of the presidential election results shortly after the trial opened.
"We can't just accept the National Electoral Council's tally. The voters, courts and states have already submitted their decisions. If we ignore them, it could ruin this country forever," McConnell said.
Republican factions in Congress refuse to certify the results of the Electoral Vote count in the state of Arizona. They alleged that there was fraud, which until now cannot be proven.
Separately, the US President, Donald Trump, invited his supporters to hold peaceful demonstrations and not be provoked by provocation so that it would spark riots.
"Please help the National Capital Police and other law enforcers. They are there to defend the country. Stay peaceful," Trump tweeted.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser then decided to implement lockdowns to control the masses of Trump supporters. He also imposed a curfew that starts at 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. local time.
This was done so that the masses of Trump supporters would immediately leave the Washington D.C. area, and not interfere with the meeting to ratify the results of the 2020 Presidential Election by Congress.
Police officers clashed with Trump supporters who gathered and rallied in Washington D.C. Some of them came from militia groups and white supremacist and right-wing community organizations such as the Proud Boys.
According to the Washington D.C. Police Chief, they deployed a combined 3,750 apparatus from the police, National Guard to the Presidential Security Force (Secret Service) to confront the masses of Trump supporters.

As a result, the authorities fired tear gas to disperse the crowd, and they were involved in a battering scuffle with a number of Trump supporters.
Police said a number of their members were injured in the clashes.
Congress was forced to declare recess due to the heating situation in Washington D.C. Police officers also evacuated members of Congress to avoid threats from Trump's mob rampage.
