Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner: this big scheme that comes back to them
According to NBC News, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner may well be caught up in the courts as a result of outside actions carried out during their White House activity in recent years.
Throughout Donald Trump's presidential term, his daughter, Ivanka Trump, as well as his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have acted daily behind the scenes of the White House. Officially, both have served as advisers to President Trump. Jared Kushner, who was also director of the American office for innovation, focused in particular on the modernization of the federal government, the reform of criminal justice, peace in the Middle East and the coronavirus pandemic. Since their departure from the White House in January, the couple have left behind "a trail of ethical violations", according to NBC News, which mentions in particular the hidden link of Jared Kushner with a start-up specializing in real estate.
After an analysis of the couple's financial documents, US media reveals that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump disclosed up to $ 640 million in outside income while working in the White House. Indeed, the duo have failed to fully disengage from their non-political activities. For example, when he joined the Trump administration, Jared Kushner would not have revealed to be the main shareholder of Cadre, a start-up in the real estate field, whose stake is estimated between 25 and 50 millions of dollars. However, this same company would have benefited from a tax exemption when it invested in disadvantaged areas, thanks to a program promoted by ... Ivanka Trump. Thus, faced with this possible conflict of interest, Jared Kushner had been advised to resell his Executive shares, but he would never have done so.
Very significant annual income
As recently revealed by the surveillance association Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (Crew), throughout the tenure of the former US president. Donald Trump's daughter and her husband have received several million dollars through their professional activities and positions of responsibility, but also through hotels and houses owned by the Kushner family. According to figures from the organization, the businesswoman and her husband would have won between 142 and 530 million euros in 2020. The main external income of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner comes from the participation of the New- 39-year-old Yorker in the operations and activities of the Trump International Hotel Washington as vice-president of the development and acquisitions department. Ivanka Trump has earned no less than 13 million dollars, or 10 million euros, thanks to this hotel establishment since 2017.
