Melania Trump and Barron move to the White House
Melania Trump and her son, Barron, have moved to the White House, five months after her husband Donald Trump was elected president of the United States.
Mrs Trump and her 11-year-old son remain in New York so Barron can finish high school.
The decision to remain in New York has been viewed by some as odd as she is the first first lady in recent times to not immediately move to the capital Washington with the president.
Her predecessor, Michelle Obama, even moved to Washington early to prepare her two daughters to adjust to the new school.
However, it seems that First Lady Melania is happy with the move and has posted a picture of the White House page on Twitter to mark the move.
The move was welcomed by New Yorkers, who 'paid' the bill for security guarantees for Melania and her daughter who lives in Trump Tower.
Their presence in New York also caused traffic problems as an escort over them and the New York Post once warned of a potential 'traffic disaster' if they did not move immediately.
President Trump doesn't seem to care much about the move, at least his Twitter message is more about the plans for his daughter Ivanka to appear on Fox and Friends on Fox TV.
However, it is not clear what will be discussed in the broadcast Monday (12/06) morning local time.
