So far the president has not allowed any animal into the White House. He feels rejection by animals.

The first pet job, an enviable White House position with lavish privileges within the presidential residence, access to the president even after hours, and guaranteed positive press coverage, is currently unavailable.
That's because President Donald Trump is not looking for a furry companion right now. Asked if the Trumps plan to have a pet in the White House, Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Melania Trump, said in a statement: "The presidential family has no plans at this time."
If Trump doesn't have a pet, he will break a long presidential tradition.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt had his beloved Fala terrier. George H.W Bush had the springer spaniel Millie who even appeared on The Simpsons. When Barack Obama's family acquired their Portuguese water dog Bo, it was great news.
"In the modern presidency, almost everyone has had a pet," said Jennifer Pickens, author of Pets in the White House. She, however, pointed out that "not everyone had them necessarily at the beginning of the administration."
There were unusual pets: hippos (Calvin Coolidge), bears (Franklin Roosevelt), goats (Abraham Lincoln) and cows (George W. Bush).
The last president without pets in the White House was Andrew Johnson, who left office in 1869 after being subjected to impeachment.
According to the Presidential Pet Museum, the White House has been home to more than 300 animals.
Barron, Trump's son Melania, also couldn't bring a pet to the president's residence even though Lois Pope, a Florida animal rights activist and friend of the Trumps, believed he could break the spell.
Pope offered the president-elect a 9-month-old Goldendoodle, she told the Washington Post. Pope showed the puppy to Barron, Trump's son, and "a big smile came to his face and tears came to his eyes." But Papa Trump denied it.
