Trump's farthest ex-wife
Between his electoral campaign and his presidency, Donald Trump has been giving prominence to his entire family for more than three years… To all of them? No. By Fernando Goitia
His second wife, Marla Maples, and their daughter, Tiffany, do not enjoy the media coverage or responsibilities that his other ex, Ivana, enjoy as much as his current wife, Melania Trump, and the rest of his sons.
Divorced twice, father of five children by three different wives and married to a former model who has posed nude, Donald Trump has never been very close to Marla and Tiffany. "Her priority from him was to make money," Marla declared after her divorce. It is not the best way to raise a girl. Trump was a married man, to Ivana, when he met her in 1989.
"His priority is to earn money, not his daughter," she said of him after their divorce
Tiffany was born in 1993, two months before the wedding of her parents, who separated in 1997, after Marla was caught at dawn with a bodyguard on a deserted beach.
Both then distanced themselves from Trump. Tiffany visited her father frequently, but she never enjoyed the intimacy that her three stepbrothers had with him.
The electoral campaign put it in evidence. Marla did not appear and Tiffany only did so to read a speech written by someone else the day her father became a candidate.
