Two important lessons to learn from Donald Trump
Here is a man who is very little known in the political world but enjoys a reputation in the business world. He recently became the 45th President of the United States of America: Donald Trump. Very few people, including me, took his presidential candidacy seriously, and there was no betting on his victory. His candidacy was even a joke or we thought of a showman to make the electoral process more pleasant to follow closely. However, when someone comes out of nowhere and takes everyone wrong, there is always something to be learned. And Donald Trump is no exception to this.
Two lessons to be learned from the new President of the United States, whether you like him or not:
1. Let people underestimate you
When people underestimate you, it gives you a huge opportunity to work without much fanfare to build a solid foundation in what you do. The main thing is not to underestimate yourself. Donald Trump understood this so well and that's why he used that underestimation to put himself in a position of authority and power, and he was incredibly successful. So, don't dream too much, don't get upset if people underestimate you, look down on you, or ignore you. It is your own attitude that determines your success.
2. Always persevere
Each experience is an opportunity to learn, to become better and to increase our influence. And one of Donald Trump's strengths was his past. Admittedly, he is at the head of a real estate fortune of several billion dollars, but he has experienced bankruptcies of companies like the Trump Taj Mahal which was the largest casino in the world or the Trump university under legal proceedings, his two divorces, and not being taken seriously in the political process, to name but a few.
When your life seems to float in stagnant water, the only way to catch up with the swift current is to give it a tremendous boost with a healthy dose of risk. Focus and think about what you really want. Next, ask yourself what would be the worst thing that could happen to you if you didn't. Aside from death, everything has a solution, and even if you failed the situation certainly wouldn't be so dire. Moreover, if you focus all your energies and your life force, you have a chance of succeeding, or even exceeding your wildest dreams. Keep on working!
