‘Father takes Covid-19 vaccine’: Says Donald Trump’s son on the air before getting ready
Eric Trump made it clear on live TV that US President Donald Trump has taken a drug, not a vaccine, for Covid-19.
Eric Trump has been mocked online for saying that Donald Trump has taken the Covid-19 vaccine - a vaccine that has not yet been developed. Eric, 36, appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday morning.
So nobody is going to talk about how Eric Trump just let it slip that #DonaldTrump was given the vaccine for COVID-19? Nice. pic.twitter.com/Y95V8npfil

He was questioned about his father's recovery following his positive examination on October 1 and his three nights at Walter Reed, returning to the White House on October 5. Eric said his father's progress was "amazing".
"I'll tell you, it was amazing," Eric said. "In fact, it will probably be about how well some of these vaccines are made.
“What my father did before the vaccine, no one could do. No one could do it.
"Dad actually started the first day he created this vaccine. He worked to push this vaccine and now Dad just took it! And you can see how he managed to win and I think it's encouraging. As Americans, we should be very proud of that."
The householder, Jonathan Karl, replied: “Can you explain that? You say your dad just took a vaccine? ”
Eric replied: “Well, at Walter Reed. The medication she was taking. ”
Karl corrected: “Medication.”
Eric concluded: "I think it will show the strength of medicine in this country and how far we have come in Covid."
Eric was asked about the plight of his 74-year-old father.
“That very first day, he was severely beaten,” Eric replies. “I can tell you as a son. It’s not fun at all to watch your dad fly to Walter Reed on Marine One, right? This is a day that no son wants to remember. "
Eric's claim that his father was given a vaccine - which was thought to be months away - was ridiculed on social media.
A health care worker wrote on Twitter: "Is there anyone who will ask you to try to explain to Eric Trump what a vaccine is?"
One described it as “a sad reminder that there is no cure for stupidity.”
One, with great generosity, tried to give Eric an opportunity to doubt.
"Has Trump taken a vaccine, or does Eric not know the difference between a cure and a vaccine?" he asks.
Andrew Kaczynski, CNN's K File reporter, revealed that Eric had previously made a claim.
On Wednesday Eric told a radio station that his father had received a "vaccine".
