Meghan Markel's Interview with Oprah Winfrey Criticized
Some experts have criticized the interview conducted by former British Royal family member Meghan Markel with host Oprah Winfrey. They said it could injure the British Royal family, as did the divorce of Pangaran Charles and Princess Diana.
"The interview is a form of revenge. "People's minds immediately think of Charles and Diana attacking each other and injuring the British Empire in the 1990s," said Richard Fitzwilliams, a critic of the British Empire.
Meghan married Prince Harry in May 2018. Before marrying Harry, Meghan was a celebrity from the United States. As a result, this marriage has made them world celebrities.
Being a celebrity made this couple in the media spotlight. But Prince Harry and Meghan are taking steps against photographers and newspapers, which they believe violate their privacy.
The rift at Windsor Castle was also a target of news. Prince Harry admits that he and his brother Prince William now seem to be keeping a distance.
The decision to accept an interview invitation with Winfrey, was also criticized for being shown while Prince Philip, Prince Harry's grandfather, was being hospitalized. The interview process from start to finish took two weeks.
There have been several allegations of bullying directed against Meghan, which were first published by the Times newspaper. It was stated in the news that a senior aide received a complaint in October 2018 from staff who accused Prince Harry's wife of mistreating his assistant until they broke down in tears and resigned.
Buckingham Palace, did not want to comment on the interview conducted by the couple Meghan - Harry with Winfrey. They only said that they would carry out an investigation into the claim and were very concerned about this.
Responding to this news, Meghan's spokesperson said the former Hollywood actress was very sad because this was the character's attack on her.
According to Fitzwilliams, Buckingham Palace's stance was like a preemptive strike before Meghan's interview with Winfrey was conducted and published.
The interview is scheduled to be broadcast in the UK on Monday, March 8, 2021 as well as several other countries in the world.
"I haven't seen any enthusiasm for reporting on the Royal family since Meghan - Harry and William - Kate's wedding," said Michelle Tauber, senior editor of People magazine.
