Michael Jackson admits he sleeps with children and used a surrogate mother for his last child
Singer Michael Jackson admitted that he still allows children to sleep in his bedroom, despite allegations of child abuse that nearly destroyed his career a few years ago.
"What's wrong with sharing love? (...) It's something beautiful, why should it be worrying?" Jackson said in an extensive interview about his life broadcast last night on the British network ITV1, held at his "Neverland" ranch. from California by journalist Martin Bashir.
In the interview, Jackson, 44, denied that he had undergone cosmetic surgery and claimed that he only had two nose jobs "to help me get to higher grades."
For the first time, the self-styled "king of pop" confessed that he does not know the mother of his third and last child, a baby whom he calls "Blanket" (blanket) and that a few months ago he made known to the public by looking at him from a balcony of a hotel in Berlin, which caused a strong controversy.
"I used a surrogate mother and my own sperm. She doesn't know me and I don't know her either," said the eccentric singer, who throughout the interview showed her children covered with veils so that they would not be recognized.
The mother of his two other children, Prince Michael I, 4, and the girl Paris, 4, former nurse Debbie Rowe, gave them "as a gift," the singer said. At one point in the interview, Jackson bottle-fed his baby - also named Prince Michael II - through a veil.
In 1994, Michael Jackson was accused of abusing a minor under 13 years of age in a process that he settled after he paid some 27 million euros to his parents.
In the program, the singer acknowledged that he has a 12-year-old friend named Gavin who, according to him, has been cured of cancer and sleeps in his bedroom, although he assured that he always chooses the ground to rest on those occasions.
Asked if they ever share a bed, he replied, "No, but I have slept in a bed with many children," including child actor Macaulay Culkin.
For the interview, the singer offered unprecedented access to journalist Martin Bashir, author of other famous interviews such as one with Princess Diana of Wales.
In statements to the English press, Bashir who has been scandalized with some of the attitudes of Michael Jackson, of whom he has said that he has so much money that he does not know what to do with it.
