Michael Jackson's ex-wife admitted they never had sex and the singer's children are from a sperm donor
Following the scandalous premiere of the documentary Leaving Neverland, in which two men denounce the abuse they suffered at the hands of Michael Jackson in the late 1980s, his ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, has now revealed that her children Prince and Paris are not the singer's .
Rowe met him when he was working in a dermatology clinic, and for 15 years they maintained a solid friendship. They were married at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Sydney, Australia, in November 1996, when he was 38 and she was 37, shortly after he divorced Lisa Marie Presley. When they married, she was six months pregnant: she gave birth to her son Prince in February 1997 and in April 1998, her second daughter, Paris. After three years of being married, they separated, and he was left with custody of the children.
In an interview with The Sun, Rowe assured that Prince and Paris were the result of a sperm donor and that she never had sexual relations with Jackson.
"They fertilized me. In the same way that I fertilize my horses to reproduce. It was very technical. I was their thoroughbred mare," she commented to the English newspaper.
It is not the first time that the biological paternity of the singer has been questioned over the last two decades. In 2013, actor Mark Lester claimed that he had donated semen for the conception of the boys and that he was invited to meet them in the UK.
"Michael was divorced, lonely, and wanted to have children. I was the one who told him, 'I'll have your babies.' I offered him my womb. It was a gift. It was something I did to make him happy," Rowe said.
The marriage lasted until October 1999. Following an out-of-court settlement, Jackson was left with full custody of the children. Rowe agreed. "They are his children, I had them for him. They would not have been born if it had not been for my love for him. I did it so that he would become a father, not to become a mother," she said.
A few years later, in 2002, the author of "Thriller" had a third child whom he named Blanket, who, according to himself, was conceived with his sperm through a surrogate womb.
In statements in 2003, Rowe claimed that she had "never" done anything "to win the title of mother." "Because Michael did everything. I didn't try hard to be a mother. He didn't change diapers, didn't get up in the middle of the night. Even if I was there, Michael did everything."
The HBO documentary collects the testimonies of two men who claim that, as children, the musician abused them. Wade Robson and James Safechuck, 36 and 40, have called the singer a "master of manipulation" and consider that he managed to gain the trust of his families and then abuse them "hundreds and hundreds of times."
The Jackson family threatened to sue those responsible for the film, which it describes as "public lynching." For her part, Paris tries to defend the innocence of her father and is also concerned that these events may affect her fledgling career as an actress. The young woman, in addition, has recognized that she several times she tried to take her life from her.
