Prince Harry-Meghan Markle's popularity plummets after Oprah's interview
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity plummeted after their interview with Oprah Winfrey aired. This is known through the poll results released on Friday (12/3/2021).
Prince Harry's popularity had dropped 15 points the week before the interview aired and is now in a slump. Based on a poll released by YouGov, as many as 48 percent of the 1,664 participants gave negative sentiments towards Prince William's younger brother.
Quarter three money with husband, Meghan Markle is also in freefall popularity. Only three out of 10 people have positive sentiments towards the figure of the Duchess of Sussex.
From the poll results, as many as 58 percent of survey participants have negative opinions about Meghan Markle. Not only Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, other British Royal families also received negative sentiments.
Prince Harry's father, Prince Charles, has also seen a decline in popularity. As many as 42 percent of people negative view of the heir to the throne of the British Empire in the first line.
Meanwhile, public opinion on Queen Elizabeth II received a positive score. As many as 80 percent of participants liked the 94 year old woman.
Kate Middleton's popularity is still high. There are 75 percent of respondents with a positive opinion towards the Duchess of Cambridge, as well as her husband, Prince William, who gets the same percentage.
In a separate poll also held by YouGov, public support still tended to turn to Buckingham Palace. The poll held before the interview with Oprah Winfrey showed 63 percent of people supported the British monarchy over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
