The New York Times reviews Trump's lies

The American daily New York Times has documented all the lies of President Donald Trump since his swearing-in on January 20. The list is long...

“Many Americans have become accustomed to President Trump's lies. As recurring as they have become, the country must not let itself be numbed by them. We have therefore identified almost all the falsehoods he has said publicly since he was sworn in, ”introduce journalists David Leonhardt and Stuart A. Thompson in a text published on June 23 in the Opinion section of the newspaper.

Then the series of lies begins. For each of them, journalists recall the facts. They count a total of 53 days on which the president would have lied publicly since his swearing-in.

“There is simply no precedent where an American president has spent so much time telling falsehoods. [...] He is trying to create an atmosphere in which reality is sassy, ”they write.

On the New York Times Facebook page, the text was relayed more than 10,000 times and elicited strong and numerous reactions.
