Trump Explains Why Her Skin Looks Orange
The President of the United States (US), Donald Trump has skin that sometimes looks orange. It has been a topic of intense debate among comedians and some online critics.
Now Trump has provided the answer, and that's not what most people expected. The problem is, the energy-efficient light bulb which makes it look orange.
Addressing an audience of Republican legislators in Baltimore on Thursday evening, Trump gave a rambling speech in which he responded to criticism over his plans to weaken regulations on environmentally friendly light bulbs.
"People say: what's with the light bulb? I say: this is the story. And I saw it. The light bulb we were forced to use! Number one, for me, most importantly, the light is not good. I always look orange. also you! Light is the worst, "Trump said as quoted by the Guardian Saturday (14/9).
Trump complained that energy-efficient light bulbs cost much more than their incandescent predecessors. According to him, the light bulb needs to be treated as hazardous waste if it breaks.
Energy-efficient bulbs such as halogen incandescent bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), and Light Emitting Diode (LED) typically use about 25 to 80 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and can last up to 25 times longer.
But that's not good enough for Trump. "What are we doing? This is considered hazardous waste, but it is much more expensive and the light is not that good. So we will sell it, but we will also sell incandescent lamps. People are very happy about it. This is extraordinary," he said.
