It's official: the funeral of Prince Philip, who died this Friday, April 9, 2021, will take place next Saturday. Princes William and Harry will reunite for the occasion as Harry will be making the trip from the United States ... but without Meghan, who is not recommended to travel due to her condition.


As England mourns the death of Prince Philip, devoted husband of Queen Elizabeth II who died on Friday, the date of the Prince Consort's funeral has been announced. They will take place on Saturday April 17 at 3 p.m. local time at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, where the husband of Elizabeth II passed away, Buckingham Palace reported as AFP reported. Funerals that will take place in small groups in view of the health situation: the number of guests will be limited to 30 people. This should include the royal couple's four children (Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward), as well as their spouses and grandchildren. And while Prince Philip might have been entitled to a state funeral, he himself had expressed his desire for a private, military-style ceremony. Doctors unfavorable to Meghan's trip

The Duchess of Sussex, pregnant with the couple's second child, will not attend the ceremony following medical advice, the palace spokesperson said.
