Family secret: who is the hidden sister of princes Harry and William?
She has never been in the limelight and yet she is part of the royal family: Laura Lopes is the half-sister of Princes Harry and William.
You may not know it, but Prince Harry and Prince William do have a half-sister.
Daughter of Camilla Parker Bowles, she then joined the royal family when her mother remarried with Prince Charles. She thus became the half-sister of Prince Harry and William, from a first marriage with Lady Diana.
The unknown stepsister
Discretion is essential at Laura Lopes. 42 years old, she is the daughter of Camilla Parker Bowles, the current wife of Prince Charles. And she is almost unknown to the general public. Yet she is indeed part of the British royal family!
Born from the union between Andrew Parker Bowles and Camilla Shand, the Duchess of Cornwall's first husband, she joined the royal family in 2005 when her mother married Prince Charles.
She then becomes the half-sister of Princes Harry and William. Just like Tom Parker Bowles, his big brother, famous food critic who becomes their half-brother.
The relationship between the princes and Laura Lopes
Even if she remains very discreet, the relationship with her half-brothers does not seem to be bad. On the contrary ! When she married Harry Lopes in 2006, Kate Middleton and Prince William were present at the wedding.
In 2008, she gave birth to her first child, Eliza, and then to twins the following year. Her first daughter was even made a bridesmaid at William and Kate's wedding in 2011.
Thus, her children are the cousins of George and Charlotte, Louis, the children of Kate and William, but also of Archie, son of Harry and Meghan.
Obviously, she attended the wedding of her second brother-in-law, Harry, with Meghan Markle, in the spring of 2018. She would also participate in some family reunions but would however remain in the background of the royal family.
However, according to Public, the princes and children from their mother-in-law's first marriage have come together greatly. Indeed, now that they are all parents, they would like each child to be able to grow up with his cousins but also with his uncles and aunts!
According to Diana's biographer, Andrew Norton, The Princess of Wales "would have liked to have had a daughter." Harry and William "really want their half-sister to be an aunt to George, Charlotte, Louis and Archie." As a tribute to their mother, they want this bond to be strengthened.
