Meghan Markle tries her best to attend Prince Philip's funeral
Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, has done her best to fly from the United States (US) to Britain to attend Prince Philip's funeral. However, these efforts were prevented by doctors for medical reasons. The reason is, Meghan is in a state of late pregnancy as reported by the Mirror, Saturday (10/4/2021).
Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince Harry will attend the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral procession on April 17. Buckingham Palace also announced that Meghan could not attend Prince Philip's funeral after medical advice prevented him from boarding a plane from the US to Britain. The couple posted their tribute to Prince Philip on their foundation's website Archewell on Friday. "In memory of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021. Thank you for your service ... you will be greatly missed," read the article.
Earlier, Prince Philip died at the age of 99 on Friday (9/4/2021). The husband of Queen Elizabeth II will be buried in St George's Chapel on April 17. The procession was held in line with the UK government's Covid-19 social restrictions, meaning that only 30 people could attend. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not attend either. The people who attended the funeral procession consisted of close relatives of the royal family such as Rau Elizabeth, her children and grandchildren. Meanwhile, Prince Harry has not returned to England since and decided to leave the kingdom in January 2020.
