Prince Philip dies: "Harry will do everything possible to return", says a relative
Will Prince Harry be able to join his family to attend Prince Philip's funeral? A Sussex relative has turned himself over to the "Daily Mail".
As sanitary measures prevent most trips abroad, Prince Harry is planning a return to England to pay a final tribute to his grandfather, Prince Philip. If the prince and his wife Meghan Markle have not reacted publicly after the announcement of the death by Buckingham Palace, it seems that they are ready to do anything to mourn, surrounded by the royal family.
Despite the health restrictions and the obligation to observe a ten-day isolation after arriving on British territory, a relative of the princely couple says that Prince Harry will return at all costs. "Harry will do absolutely everything possible to return to the United Kingdom and be with his family," begins the relative. "He will want nothing more than to be there for his family, and in particular his grandmother, during this horrible time", continues the anonymous source, who speaks while the prince has not officially expressed his desire to leave the United States. And for good reason, his wife Meghan Markle is expecting a little girl, as she announced a few weeks ago. It is therefore conceivable that the ex-actress will be forced to stay in California, the source told the English newspaper. “Meghan is obviously pregnant so she will have to seek advice from her doctors on whether she can travel safely, but I think Harry will definitely go. Removed from social media since their departure across the Atlantic, the Sussexes have yet to release any news in the face of the Crown drama.
NO NATIONAL CEREMONY
The Duke of Edinburgh has died at the age of 99, after a long stay in hospital. He "passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle," Buckingham Palace said in a statement. According to the College of Arms website and USA Today reports, Prince Philip will not be buried in a national ceremony, although his title allows for such a tribute. Due to health restrictions, the funeral will therefore be held in a small committee. Elizabeth II's husband will rest at Windsor Castle, according to his last wishes.
