Reasons for Meghan Markle's Beauty Score Higher than Kate Middleton
Many people think "beauty is relative." However, a beautiful face or one that is considered ideal can actually be measured scientifically, one of which is the golden ratio. Launching Express, the golden ratio itself is an ancient Greek theorem used to determine "physical perfection" by comparing the symmetry of facial features.
Dr Julian De Silva, Head of the Center for Advanced Facial Cosmetics & Plastic Surgery in London, applied the golden ratio analysis to some of the most recognizable female members of the royal family, including the frequently compared Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. As a result, he found that Meghan had a higher score than Kate. De Silva found that the Duchess of Sussex has an 87.7 percent ratio to the golden ratio.
The cosmetic doctor highlighted the width and length of Meghan's nose which is considered the best trait of Prince Harry's wife, with a ratio of 98.5 percent. To the Daily Mail, De Silva said that Meghan's face was superior because it was considered to be close to the perfect face based on the Greek calculation.
Meanwhile, Kate has a ratio of 86.62 in the analysis of the golden ratio. The part of the face that is considered the most symmetrical is the bridge of the nose and the width of the lips, with a ratio of 91.9 percent. Even though the order is below Meghan, De Silva said that Kate is still one of the most beautiful women in the world. "Kate stands out because she has the perfect distance between her nose and lips and a very strong eye distance," he said. However, the side of the face that is thought to reduce the overall ratio is the chin and jaw which does not appear as definite as Princess Diana. Princess Diana was ranked among the top five royals analyzed, including Queen Rania of Jordan and Princess Grace of Monaco. Diana got a ratio of 89.05 percent for the golden ratio.
"All of them are very beautiful women. But when measured by the Greek golden ratio based on physical perfection, Princess Diana is at the top," said De Silva. Furthermore, he revealed that Diana's high score came from the shape of her face, the width of her nose, the area of her eyebrows, and her forehead and eyebrows. All of them get top marks. Meanwhile, Diana's lowest score is on the chin and lips. "Her lips are a little too thin and indistinct, while her chin is less classic than some other women," says De Silva.
