Sylvester Stallone denies joining the Mar-a-Lago club

Reports in the United States had suggested that the Rocky star had joined the exclusive Palm Beach members club.

A representative for Sylvester Stallone denied claims that the actor is a member of Donald Trump's private Florida club, Mar-a-Lago.

Reports in the United States had suggested that the Rocky star had joined the exclusive Palm Beach members club, prompting a response from the actor.

Mar a Lago is known among the public for Trump's predilection (to that destination) as president of the United States. The twice-accused politician often hosted social gatherings at the club for friends and donors during his time in office.

After recently moving to the Palm Beach area, Stallone was spotted at the location, prompting reports that he had joined.

However, in a statement delivered to PA, Stallone's representative confirmed that the actor is not a member, but that he had visited the venue as a "dinner guest."

Michelle Bega said: “Sylvester Stallone has never been, nor is he a member of Mar-a-Lago as has been falsely reported.

"He was a dinner guest at the Club, but he himself is not a member there."

Stallone himself referred to the false reports on social media and wrote: "I would like to tell everyone that this never happened."

"This is simply not true. Never happened. I don't want to disrespect anyone, I'm just not a member. So keep hitting. "

Mar-a-Lago has been owned by Trump since 1985.
