Accused of being racist, sexist, rude or a liar ... Donald Trump is heavily criticized, including by his own political party. He should however become one of the 2 official candidates for the presidency of the United States. The buffoon, the big beast that goes up ... Donald Trump is regularly mocked by the press and by his political opponents but the critics do not prevent him from being the favorite of the primaries, a series of elections to nominate the presidential candidates American. A few months ago, his candidacy was seen as a joke, a sort of attraction that would spice up the primaries. Today, no one is laughing.
Against foreigners
Barring a dramatic turnaround, Donald Trump will be the official candidate of the Republican Party, one of the Big 2 American parties, for President of the United States. His words and his ideas, however, are often considered scandalous. He is the one who, once elected, claims to forbid Muslims from entering the United States ... He has also just declared that Mexicans who come to the United States are mostly drug addicts and rapists. He promises to build a wall between the two countries. Its foreign policy program boils down to playing the big guns and claiming to impose its will on Russia and China. To put an end to Daesh, it is also "enough" to bomb the oil installations held by this terrorist organization.
Against the system
The Trump style hits the mark with some of the public. While a billionaire, Donald Trump managed to make people believe he was the representative of the people against the "system": journalists, the rich and politicians, especially those in his own party. He is thus described as "populist", that is to say, to hold speeches which flatter the voters and unfulfillable promises. Many Americans are sensitive to his career, to the fact that he became one of the richest and most famous entrepreneurs in his country.

The success of Donald Trump shows above all the great distrust of Americans towards their political representatives, who are suspected of thinking only of their careers. This distrust is not unique to the United States. In France, too, there is this distrust of politicians. But the candidate’s inexperience, simplistic ideas and vulgarity also worry many citizens, in the United States and abroad.
