What body language really reveals about the relationship between Donald and Melania Trump
An expert in protocol has revealed that the physical distance between the president and her wife denotes his lack of respect for her.
If one of the slogans of Donald Trump's campaign was 'America First', it was also clear that 'ladies first' was not part of his ideology. And it has been corroborated by an expert in protocol by analyzing the body language that exists between the President and Melania Trump, the couple that is most talked about in the United States (and the rest of the world, why fool us).
If a relationship specialist recently claimed that Donald and Melania no longer slept together for the sake of their marriage, your body language could reveal a lot about how this couple works. And the conclusions are not at all positive for the First Lady.
Just look at one of the last images of the couple, getting off a plane. First goes Donald Trump, followed by his youngest son, Barron. One step behind is Melania. This expert assures that this would not only be a lack of courtesy (the correct thing would be to help her wife, usually on infinity stilettos, to go down the stairs) but also a way of disrespecting her.
Her arrival at the investiture would be another exemplary sample. Donald Trump got out of the official car and went to greet the Obama couple. Melania got out of the car alone, and several seconds later she joined the others. Her husband should have opened the door for her and 'escorted' her, as all former presidents did at that symbolic moment.
Barack and Michelle Obama got off the planes at the same time. Even the Reagans did it the same way, and a chivalrous John F. Kennedy gave way to his wife, Jacqueline. The manner in which Trump leaves Melania behind is both rude and respectful, per protocol. "In the photographs we see that Donald Trump not only walks one step ahead but two, several meters away. She is not accompanied by him," says the expert.
And perhaps the way in which the new President of the United States treats his own wife says a lot about what concerns the rest of the women of his country. His latest decisions are showing it.
