Donald Trump Launches New Website For His Personal Office After Being Suspended From Social Media

The former president and former first lady, Melania Trump, launched a website to serve their personal offices. The website, 45office.com, comes after Trump was banned from social media following the January Capitol uprising.

The site features an extensive biography of the former president that begins like this: “Donald J. Trump launched the most extraordinary political movement in history, dethroned political dynasties, defeated the established power in Washington, and became the first true independent to be elected president. of the United States.

It also includes more than a dozen photographs of himself, depicting him boarding Air Force One, greeting North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un and, yes, kissing a baby. Other photos are of the president and Melania Trump at the inaugural ball and black-tie dinners at the White House. The website does not mention the two impeachments of him. He refers to how "the coronavirus plague came from China" and says that Trump "acted early and decisively to ban travel from China and Europe, saving countless lives."

As of Tuesday, Covid-19 has killed at least 550,371 people and infected about 30.3 million in the United States since January last year, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Trump's life offline

Trump has remained largely offline since the Jan.6 Capitol uprising that left five dead and led the Justice Department to charge at least 150 people with insurrection, a number that could rise to 400 or more. As a result, Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter and other social platforms, such as Snapchat.

The former president will return to social media in two to three months on his own platform, according to Jason Miller, a longtime Trump adviser and spokesman for the 2020 presidential campaign. The new platform will attract "tens of millions" of new users and "It will completely redefine the game," Miller added.

Following Trump's suspension from Twitter, Jared Kushner, the former president's son-in-law and senior adviser, stepped in to stop the efforts of advisers who tried to get Trump to log on to fringe social media platforms like Parler and Gab.

Visitors to the former president's website can also request a personalized greeting from the president and former first lady, or request that the Trumps attend an event. Due to the large number of requests, the greetings page says that processing will take up to six weeks.

As for the Trumps attending an event, the website said there would be no status updates “due to the volume of requests the President and Mrs. Trump receive. Applications must indicate whether the media will be present and whether there will be notable attendees. "
