Harry and William: have the two princes been in boarding school?

Prince William and Kate Middleton will have to decide whether they want to put their children in boarding school or not. It must be said that boarding school is a tradition in the British royal family, as Princes William and Harry can testify.

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will have to make an important decision. The royal couple are going to have to make a choice, whether or not they want to put their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, in boarding school. It's no secret that the British royal family can boast of having access to one of the best education in the world. If in her time Queen Elizabeth II received private school education from her home, things have changed with the younger generations. Just like their father Prince Charles, who on the other hand had a bad experience, Princes Harry and William were also sent to boarding school.

The sons of Princess Diana and the Prince of Wales spent five years of their childhood at Ludgrove School boarding school: a facility that accommodates around 200 boys, from their 5 to 13 years old. The property is located in the English county of Berkshire, approximately 1 hour from London by car. According to information from the Good Housekeeping site, Prince Harry followed his older brother to Ludgrove School, two years after him. Inside the boarding school, the two teenagers shared their room with four other students.

An establishment with strict rules

Founded in 1982 by Arthur Dunn, Ludgrove Boarding School offers young boys a prestigious and strict education, in an environment devoted to study and personal development. Prohibition for the two young princes to use the radios or televisions of the time, nor to call their relatives! On the other hand, they had to write a letter to their families every Sunday. The two teenagers could go home and hug their parents only one weekend a month, as revealed in the book Une vie de reine, by Annick Le Floc'hmoan.

After completing their five years at Ludgrove School boarding school, Princes Harry and William both continued their education at the highly prestigious Eton College boarding school from their 13 to 18 years of age. This school is a real institution that has welcomed generations of British elites, and costs the sum of around 48,000 euros per year.
