Meghan Markle and Harry celebrated their third wedding anniversary with this news
On May 19, 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry said yes, I want to in Windsor, three years later they celebrate away from the United Kingdom and with many projects.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been married for three years now. It seems that it was yesterday that the Duchess of Sussex got out of that carriage in front of St George's Chapel in Windsor, finally revealing what dress she would marry would be and what designer was commissioning her to do it.
Three years later, the sober dress with a plain white bateau neckline and a column silhouette is now part of the history of royalty.
Much has changed the world since that May 19, 2018, especially for the English Crown, an institution that saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex resign from their roles as senior members of the royal family in early 2020 and then the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 2021.
This year, Meghan and Harry, now based in California, USA, have every reason to celebrate. In addition to their marriage, which, as far as it seems, looks stable, the couple is preparing to receive their second baby, a girl as confirmed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, and all the projects they are leading with their Archewell foundation.
This is how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their third anniversary
Apparently the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not miss an opportunity to join in new projects that help others, nor do they miss the opportunity to give them the necessary boost by taking advantage of milestones in their own personal lives.
Such has been the case of the celebration of their third wedding anniversary, which turned out to be the perfect excuse to share with the rest of the world the news of the construction of a Collection Center in Bombay, India, a project in which they will collaborate together to World Global Kitchen, a non-profit organization founded by the famous Spanish chef, José Andrés, whose purpose is to feed those most in need during times of crisis.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the news in a statement posted on the Archewell Foundation website. 'Right now, COVID-19 cases are increasing across the country of India. On Tuesday, the total number of virus cases in India exceeded 25 million, with 260,000 new cases and 4,329 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, ’they explain. "Hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost, millions have been infected, and there is widespread concern that the crisis is even worse than was reported."
Last December, the couple announced Archewell's partnership with World Global Kitchen to build four Community Help Centers around the world in regions prone to weather disasters.
"The purpose of these centers is to provide relief and resistance (as well as healing and strength) to the communities in which they are found," says the statement shared on their anniversary day. "During future crises, these centers can be quickly activated as emergency response kitchens, or vaccination sites, and in quieter times they can serve as food distribution centers, schools, clinics, or community gathering spaces for families."
