Melania Trump stole the show from her husband president in the traditional G7 family photo on Sunday, August 25. Blame it on a kiss - and a look that speaks volumes - exchanged with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. A moment that Twitter reveled in.
This is one of the most striking photos of the G7. At least according to Twitter. On the sidelines of the G7 summit, which takes place on Saturday 24 and Monday 26 August in Biarritz, the various participating heads of state, from Emmanuel Macron to Donald Trump via Angela Merkel, posed for a traditional photo of family on Sunday. But what caught the eye the most was what happened before the photo. And in particular the way in which Melania Trump, in the arms of her president husband, greeted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The charm of the young and dashing 47-year-old leader, in power since 2015, is known to all, he whose pretty face - and other parts of the body - have regularly been commented on. A charm to which the American First Lady is obviously not insensitive, judging by the languid look she gave him a few seconds before kissing him on the cheek ... Next to her, Donald Trump, too busy discussing with Brigitte Macron, seems to have seen nothing but fire. A moment immortalized by photographers and which made Internet users laugh a lot.
On Twitter, mocking and / or amused comments did not take long to flourish, so that the hashtag #MelaniaLovesTrudeau (translate #MelaniaAimeTrudeau) quickly became one of the most discussed topics of the micro-blogging site. Side kisses, Melania Trump is not the only one to have stood out during this photo shoot. Brigitte Macron's smack to Donald Trump alongside a hilarious Emmanuel Macron also caused a lot of talk, as was the astonishing way in which the American president greeted German Chancellor Angela Merkel, all lips forward. A photo which, strangely, is much less dreaming!
