Prince Harry: why his father Charles was shocked by his attitude after Prince Philip's funeral
Has Harry run away from a conversation with his father, Prince Charles? This is what many assume, as Prince Harry returned to the United States, three days after the funeral of his grandfather Philip ... Another scandal for the royal family.
Prince Harry is not done talking about him. The English people continue to scrutinize all his deeds and gestures, and in particular as the prince returned to his homeland, on the occasion of his grandfather's sad funeral. Prince Philip, faithful husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on April 9. The British people and his family paid tribute to his memory on April 17, during a funeral in St. George's Chapel for which the Duke of Sussex had returned to England. A week before the funeral, Prince Harry indeed returned to see his family, but without Meghan Markle, who is recalled pregnant with their second child and therefore could not make the trip.
After isolating himself at Frogmore Cottage, he attended the ceremony alongside his grandmother, father and brother, and other family members. After Kate Middleton's intervention, he was able to have a brief chat with her brother, Prince William. He also reportedly had a conversation with his father and brother, during a threesome after the funeral. However, the prince did not give his father the opportunity to talk alone, face to face, about everything that happened ... since he left three days later ... which the prince would not have appreciated at all!
Some "unspoken" remain between them
Thus, the British magazine L'Express points out that relations between the youngest of the family and his father are particularly strained even today. Several sources even claim that the eldest queen was shocked that his son did not even take the time to speak to him before returning to Santa Barbara. "Charles finds it hard to believe that Prince Harry rushed to Los Angeles so quickly after the funeral, especially with the unspoken things that remain between them," said a source. Royal Mirror expert Russell Myers added: "While he [Harry] was here, he didn't have the opportunity to have a face-to-face with his father Charles (... ) Apparently Charles wanted to take the time to see him. But Harry left without saying anything, "regrets the expert.
