Tiffany Trump, the second daughter of the president of the United States, graduates at 26
The young woman has studied law at Georgetown University where she has suffered the consequences of an unintended fame
Like many other students, Tiffany Trump, the fourth daughter of the President of the United States, has graduated via video conference due to the coronavirus crisis. The 26-year-old has finished her law degree at the prestigious Georgetown University, the same center where two of her stepbrothers, Felipe VI or even actor Bradley Cooper, among other well-known figures, studied.
Congratulations from her family have been rare or late. Donald Trump congratulated the graduate four days after the event. “Congratulations to my daughter, Tiffany, for graduating from Georgetown Law School. Great student, great center. I just need a lawyer in the family. Very proud of you, Tiff, ”the real estate mogul wrote on his Twitter profile. Although they deny it, the distance between father and daughter is evident since the 2016 election campaign.
Congratulations to my daughter, Tiffany, on graduating from Georgetown Law. Great student, great school. Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you Tiff!

During her run for the White House, Tiffany Trump kept a very low profile, always in the shadow of Ivanka Trump, her father's favorite daughter. The young woman maintains a better relationship with her mother, the actress Marla Maples, who on the occasion of the graduation has published a video on Instagram in which, very excited, she congratulates her on her latest achievement: “We cannot celebrate it in the way you deserve But your commitment to learn, to grow, to be the smartest person, to do this and have an impact on humanity means a lot and I am very grateful. "
When Donald Trump and Marla Maples divorced in 1999, mother and daughter moved to California. This is the place where the young woman has spent most of her life, very close to the actress, but far from her paternal family, settled in New York. In fact, the businessman revealed on Howard Stern's radio show in 2005 that Ivanka and Donald Jr. tried to remove her from her inheritance. "I don't know what the typical father figure is like," she told Du Jour magazine, adding: "He is not the father who would take me to the beach and we would go swimming, but he is a very motivating person."
For this reason, she wanted to highlight this aspect of the candidate in the 2016 Republican convention, which has always led her to get "the best version of herself": "Like my father, I have never been daunted by challenges." In her speech, she highlighted other facets of her father, such as that “his passion for excellence is contagious” and that “he is a friendly, considerate and fun man”, to conclude with: “I love him with all my heart". Of course, it was a speech written in the middle of the electoral campaign, so her words may be far from the true relationship between the two. The low presence of her in the rest of the acts added to the fact that in the second debate the cameras captured how she moved away from her father when he tried to kiss her show another reality, different from the one they tried to sell.

Despite the obvious estrangement between father and daughter, Tiffany Trump has suffered from bearing the surname of the current president. In 2017 she was invited to the New York fashion show of designer Philipp Plein, but no one wanted to sit next to her. "Tiffany did not deserve to be humiliated," said the dressmaker to the TMZ portal after seeing the photos of the empty seats. "Hate the man, okay, but hating the daughter is just obnoxious," he added. But that did not seem to matter to the young woman because the next day she attended another parade, in addition to having the public support of some celebrities such as actress Whoopi Goldberg.
A rejection that she has also suffered during the three years that she has studied at Georgetown University. When it became known that Donald Trump's daughter was enrolled in this center, some of the students were alarmed. Brenna Gautam, a student of the same career, told The New York Times newspaper that in a Facebook group that she had with her classmates, a debate had been opened about the safety of all of them. "How will her arrival affect our classmates who feel personally threatened by her father's policies?" Gautam commented, referring to students who were gay, transgender or belonging to racial minorities.
After graduation, a classmate told CNN that "most of the students have just ignored her" over the years. Although her presence on campus was evident by the agents who accompanied her to class and the two black sedans that parked at the entrance of the university, as she is part of the Secret Service protection protocol for the president's children. Little else is known about Tiffany Trump's passage through Georgetown, such as that she has specialized in Criminal Justice and that she has been president of the Cyberlaw Society, a university club on the security of digital platforms.
She has also lived in Washington since 2017, but away from her family. She finished her studies in Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Law and Society, and moved to the capital to continue in Georgetown, although she did not settle in the White House. She always goes on her own and marks the distance with her father and her stepbrothers. “I have always had my feet on the ground. People don't believe it because of who I am, but I have always been brought up with many principles by my parents. I want to be given the opportunity to grow up and be just Tiffany, not Tiffany Trump, ”she confessed to Oprah Winfrey when she was just 17 years old.
Of course, she also does not rule out working under the protective umbrella of her father. In 2016 she expressed curiosity about joining her family business. "Of course, I am interested. However, I have enrolled in law school, so I like to bring a different kind of skills to the company, ”she revealed on ABC. For now, it is unknown what she is going to do with her future and if she will finally take the exam for access to the legal profession.
