This month Microsoft’s founder and the fourth richest person in the world, Bill Gates, announced his divorce with wife Melinda Gates following which The New York Times revealed a complete list of allegations against him.
The newspaper disclosed that six current and former employees of Microsoft disapproved Mr Gates’s behavior at the workplace.
“Bill Gates had also developed a reputation for questionable conduct in work-related settings. That is attracting new scrutiny amid the breakup of one of the world’s richest, most powerful couples”, it read.
In 2006, Gates allegedly approached a woman after a meeting and asked her for an informal dinner.
“If this makes you uncomfortable, pretend it never happened,” Mr Gates wrote in an email, according to The New York Times.
The newspaper also revealed that on a few occasions, Bill Gates was found pursuing women at Microsoft and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
One of the cases notified that the billionaire sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in 2000.
Apart from this, Bill Gates was founded being friends with Jeffery Epstein, an American socialite, financier, and convicted sex offender.
“When the relationship between Mr. Gates and Mr. Epstein burst into public view, Ms. French Gates was unhappy”, The New York Times report read.
However, the billionaire was of the view that he was focusing on philanthropy with Epstein.
In 2020, Gates stepped down from Microsoft’s board just a few months after being re-elected to the seat.
