Is Trump beating his son Barron?

Barron Trump was just 10 when his father, Donald, was elected President of the US - now 15, the youngster reveals how he feels about his life in the White House

Barron Trump was just 10-years-old when he first moved into the White House four years ago. Now aged 15 Barron will again be moving out of America's most famous family home after his father, Donald Trump, was defeated in the US election by President-elect, Joe Biden.

The teenager, the president's youngest child, has often accompanied his parents on presidential visits but is no stranger to the limelight after appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show when he was just two months old, Mirror.co.uk reports.

When his father was elected president in 2016, Barron remained at Trump Tower in New York with his mum, Melania, so he could finish his school year with his friends.

But in June, 2017, the youngster made the move to Washington.

Last month, schoolboy Barron, along with his father and mother, was diagnosed with coronavirus.

At the time Melania said: "My fear came true when he was tested again and it came up positive. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms.

“In one way I was glad the three of us went through this at the same time so we could take care of one another and spend time together. He has since tested negative.”

Barron is Melania's only child. The 50-year-old model met husband, Donald, at a party in 1998 with the couple marrying in 2005 and welcoming their son a year later.

However, rumours have surfaced since Trump's defeat to Biden that his wife is "counting the the seconds" until she could divorce the President.

The former model has rubbished the claims, which were made by former aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman.

Two years ago Newman claimed the couple's marriage was all but over, adding: "If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he's in office, he would find a way to punish her."

And body language expert and psychologist, Bruce Durham, believes Melania could now be preparing to take a new step in her life.

Examining photos of the couple throughout their relationship, Bruce said: "For me - the photos (recent events as well) show Melania is finding herself again and is maybe, just maybe, finally ready to do something for her.

"Donald is so focused on him, the task, the crowd in front, the cameras, that maybe soon he will turn around and notice that puppy has ran off for fun elsewhere as that leash isn't as tight as it once was."

Even in the early days of their relationship, Donald pushes himself to the front of the image.

Bruce said: "It is always about him taking the main part in the play and all eyes being on him while Melania is displaying a stance that could be associated with a model, it's her confidence that is empowering her to do this."

However, there are telltale signs in many of the snaps of Trump and his wife that reveal the president's confidence in the early days of their relationship is all for show.

Bruce, who regularly works with huge companies to improve their performance, explains: "Indeed, the partial smile on Donald's face and the slight squint in the eye offers an insight into a version of the president that isn't as confident as he seems, even if just for that moment."

But by the time the couple had reached the White House, Trump was determined to be the dominant force in the marriage.

Bruce said: "Contrast this to more recent photos where Donald is always leading, his hand is always in the 'power' position, and he has sometimes actually moved Melania out of the way to 'set the scene' for him to be centre stage - we see a much more controlling version of the president."

In the hours after the polls in America closed, Bruce also noticed a change in Melania's behaviour.

He said: "After the votes were coming in and Donald spoke on stage, it was Melania who walked off first, and it was Melania who took her hand away from Donald.

"For four years we have seen Donald leading their actions via his body language control behaviours... the tides could be changing.

"Melania has given us glimpses of when she wants to, she can become the alpha one in the relationship. It will be very interesting to see how losing the presidency will impact the power play of body language between the two moving forward."

However, one person often missed in many snapshots of the Trump's marriage - Barron.

Bruce said: "I think it is quite sad and sweet that Barron is looking at the floor in both photos.

"It must be hard for any young adult to be in that position - but again, with Donald being so focused on 'himself' maybe he hasn't got time for 'others' - including helping his son with his confidence levels in front of the cameras.

"It's a bit like this with his powerhand over Melania, directing her to go where he demands, almost like pulling a helpless puppy along on a lead."
