Kim Kardashian mentioned how proud she was of Kendall Jenner for creating her brand of tequila
Kendall Jenner previously announced that he was entering the tequila business in February.
On Monday, Kim Kardashian posted a photo of her on her Instagram account of her with her sisters celebrating Kendall Jenner's recently launched tequila line, called 818 Tequila. The businesswoman also posed with Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian for the family snapshot, with stacks of tequila boxes behind them.
"Always proud of my little sister @kendalljenner for creating 818," wrote the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star. The liquor, which was officially launched in May, is made and distilled on family-owned agave farms in the famous tequila-producing region of Jalisco, Mexico.
Last month, Kendall Jenner hosted a star-studded launch party where her famous family, including her sisters and her mother Kris Jenner, came out to celebrate at the Nice Guy in West Hollywood. Along with the stars of the well-known reality show were several famous friends of Kendall, including Hailey Baldwin, Kate Hudson, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.
However, Kendall Jenner's new business has not been fulfilled without a backlash, as the model has been accused of cultural appropriation in an advertisement for the liquor. Several fans came out in defense of the model, noting that male celebrities like George Clooney and Dwayne Johnson also launched similar ads posing with agave farmers in Jalisco for the launch of their own tequila brands in the past without such a reaction.
